Week One
Monday, July 23rd
As is tradition the first day of camp was incredibly rainy so the outdoor activities were moved inside. With a record breaking 62 success students, to make things go smoother four groups would be made, Wickham, Henry, Burr, and Burton. After splitting into these four groups campers would then play a variety of ice breaking games to help get to know each other. During lunch campers were each given there own Success Camp water bottle and after lunch everyone was moved to art rooms to start the first part of their art projects'.

Today was a fun day for the campers as they got familiar with their new iPads and began reading their summer reading book. After getting acquainted with their new "Reading Device's" we took a trip to the fertile Dene Farm where we had a small tour of the premises and then after that they finished their art projects by using small plants and other things laying around the could be deemed artistic enough to be used in an art project. After returning we ate lunch and then went back to working on our iPads, if the campers finished early they could either relax or go play frisbee.
Wednesday, July 25th
Another rainy day for the camp allowed us to stay inside for the whole day. Like usual campers were given free time to read their summer book while counselors and faculty either helped the students or help set up the next event. During lunch we had visitors, Success Camp alumni. We had a Q&A where current students could ask questions about high school or college to help there understanding for the future. After lunch the students were split into their respective groups to finish off the day with the final activities.
Thursday, July 26th
This day was very fun thanks to our tour guides. On Thursday we visited Castleton University and Green Mountain College. We were split into two groups but first for the group I went with was Castleton where we got welcomed by the College Students who would be our guides. We then toured all around campus where students asked various questions about the university. We would then meet up in the Old Chapel to eat lunch with all of the camp. For the GMC tour we had two alumni who would give us our tour, one from Norcal and the other from Socal. The GMC campus had a farm with animals which the campers seemed to like(my camera died so I couldn't photograph the animals). We also got to experience a rap about GMC which was amazing.
