End of the Year (EOY) Trips
One of the many exciting and beneficial things that the Student Success Program offers is an end of the year trip. Previously, all scholars were eligible to embark and participate in a once in a lifetime opportunity by meeting a certain grade requirement. Scholars enrolled in a Prep for College or Prep for Success class must receive C's or higher, and scholars who took the class the previous year must receive B's or higher.
Recently, that design to the program has been revamped. The end of the year trip is now offered to seniors only who have demonstrated consistently high engagement throughout their time at
Burr and Burton. As a trade off, Scholars who are not seniors are eligible for scholarship money to pay for summer enrichment programs or internships specializing in their
intended career path.
Scholars come together to participate in events sponsoring the Student Success Program, and do their own fundraising to help pay for the end of the year trip.
